Jason Kopec enters his first season as the athletic trainer for the Golden Rams’ football team. However, he is not a stranger to West Chester University. Kopec is a 2006 graduate of the Athletic Training program and received his master’s degree in Exercise Science in 2008. 

Prior to his return to WCU, Kopec served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League from 2014 to 2019. During his time, the team achieved great success, including multiple division titles, three conference championships and a pair of world championships. In 2019, Kopec and his staff were awarded the league’s top honor of Sports Medicine Staff of the Year.

Before making the jump to professional football, Kopec also served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Camden Riversharks, a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball from 2008 to 2014. 

Kopec and his wife, Kelli, live in Wallingford, Pa., with their daughter, Kensie (4) and son, Cameron (1).
