Football Opens Thursday Night On ESPN3 And Regional Television

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University's storied football program opens its 94th season Thursday night at home against nationally ranked Lenoir-Rhyne. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

The season opener, which pits two Top 25 programs against one another, is being broadcast live by SportsFEVER Television Network (STN) and can be seen locally on WPHL 17.4 (Comcast 253; Verizon 468) as well as nationally on ESPN3. A link to ESPN3 coverage can be accessed by clicking HERE.

Golden Rams fans can watch West Chester vs. Lenoir-Rhyne on ESPN3 online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app or stream on televisions through Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One. ESPN3 is available in more than 99 million households at no additional cost to fans with an affiliated internet or video provider, including Time Warner Cable, DirecTV and Dish Network (full list). 

Phil Schoener and Jon Schaeffer will bring you all the action from John A. Farrell Stadium. It is the first of four West Chester football games that will be aired live on STN and streamed by ESPN3. A grand total of 15.3 million (not including ESPN3) households, up from 14.4 million in 2014, will be able to watch West Chester University football on STN in 2015. Viewership per game of 101,648 people is up from 92,235. Since 2007, STN's PSAC Football Game of the Week (82 games) has been seen by more than five million viewers.

Lenoir-Rhyne enters Thursday's opener ranked ninth in the country while West Chester ranks 22nd.
