Pat Moriarty (Gladwyne, Pa./Harriton) threw for a career-high 437 yards and five touchdowns to lead West Chester to a 44-14 victory over visiting Kutztown Saturday afternoon at John A. Farrell Stadium.

West Chester (4-2, 3-0 PSAC East) remains one of only two teams left unbeaten in the Easter Division of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference while Kutztown (3-3, 2-1) fell into a tie for third place in the league standings.

Moriarty completed 30 of 40 passes without being intercepted for the second straight game. His main target, tight end
Tim Brown (Clifton Heights, Pa./Upper Darby) made eight catches for 99 yards.
Tyler Karpinski (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.)Â caught two TD passes.Â
Brandon Monk (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) rushed 13 times for 67 yards and a score as well.

Jim Hurley (Wayne, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) got things started when he snared a screen pass that was deflected and raced 62 yards to pay dirt with 3:52 left in the first quarter. That ignited a 34-point run by the Golden Rams that extended into the second half.

Bill Ford (Malvern, Pa./Parkridge) caught his first career pass for a 3-yard touchdown. Monk followed up with a 5-yd TD run up the middle, and
Shannon Mayer (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) snagged a 5-yard TD strike from Moriarty in traffic with nine seconds left in the first half to open up a 27-0 lead for the Rams by halftime.

Kutztown finally answered with 7:37 to play in the third quarter. Sr., WR Kodi Reed caught a 38-yard pass, his first reception of the day, down to the Golden Rams' 6-yard line, and then grabbed a 6-yd TD pass on the next play to make it a 34-7 game.

Karpinski, who caught a 17-yd TD pass earlier in the third quarter, registered his second TD of the quarter with 6:35 left in it to push the hosts' lead to 41-7.

In the fourth quarter, Kutztown's Tyler Pratt returned a blocked punt 20 yards for a Golden Bears' score. West Chester PK
Brendan Paulison (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) added a 23-yard field goal with 6:01 to play to close out the scoring.
