Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Host Lock Haven scored the game's final three goals to pull away from visiting West Chester, 10-5, late in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference semifinals Friday afternoon.
West Chester (12-5) ends its season with the loss while Lock Haven (16-2) moves on to the conference championship game on Saturday.
Kelsey Gumbert scored two goals and assisted on another to lead West Chester's scoring. Dina Cifelli added a pair of assists as well. Jess Henderson made seven saves in her collegiate finale.
The Golden Rams held a 4-2 advantage late in the first half when the Lady Eagles went on a four-goal run that bled over into the second half. That gave the hosts a 6-4 lead while keeping West Chester off the board for nearly 19 minutes.
Lock Haven potted the first two of the goals before halftime to knot things up at 4-all at the break. In the second half, the Eagles scored twice 37 seconds apart to take its 6-4 lead.
Caroline Kuchinsky finally got the Golden Rams back on the board 11:31 into the second half to pull within one at 6-5. However, that is when Lock Haven took control of the game.
