West Chester Falls To Southeastern, 7-2

TAMPA, Fla. – West Chester University dropped a 7-2 decision to Southeastern University in a non-league men's tennis match on the campus of Hillsborough Community College Wednesday.
 
West Chester (3-4) is in the midst of its spring break trip.
 
The Golden Rams picked up a win from the third doubles team of Lars Kristiansen and Jimmy Aridas by an 8-6 verdict while sixth singles player, J.J. Cooke, defeated his foe by the measure of 6-1, 6-1 in straight sets.
 
Andrew Peterson extended his opponent at fifth singles to a third-and-deciding set, before succumbing. He won the first set, 6-2, before dropping the second set by an identical score.
 
Jared Howat and Cody Leimback battled hard at first doubles, before falling 8-6 to Southeastern's top unit.
 
West Chester continues its southern swing on Thursday with a match at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg.
