Box Score Daily Local Article (by Neil Geohegan)WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Three different goal scorers found the back of the net for 13th-ranked West Chester as the Golden Rams shutout visiting Gannon, 3-0, in the PSAC Quarterfinal round matchup at Rockwell Field Tuesday morning.

West Chester (16-1-1) advances to the semifinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference postseason tournament for the 11th time in school history while Gannon (9-9) saw its 2014 campaign come to a close. The Golden Rams will take on Kutztown Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at East Stroudsburg University. The other semifinal pits the host Warriors against California, Pa., at 1 p.m.

Nikki Lynch (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) got things started early when she chipped a ball over Lady Knights' goalkeeper, Shannon Differ's, head and into the net in the eighth minute.
Carly Yost (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) was credited with the assist.

Over half an hour later,
Haley Mangiaruga (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) finished off a cross to double the hosts lead heading in to halftime.
Kara Parvel (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) sent a cross from the near sideline that was flicked on by
Marissa Valenti (Manassas, Va./Osbourn Park). Mangiaruga blasted home the winner.

Dana Hunt (Pittstown, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) iced the game with a beautiful header into the far corner off a cross from the far side by
Cara Deola (Churchville, Pa./Council Rock South) with seven minutes remaining in the contest.

West Chester's back line of
Sara Bennis (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor),
Erika Schrock (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) and
Carly Henry (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) did an outstanding job all afternoon bottling up Gannon's leading scorer, and the second-leading scorer in the PSAC, Mani Brueckner. That went a long way towards Golden Rams' goalkeeper,
Alex Srolis (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) recording her eighth shutout of the season. Srolis made four stops to pick up her 16th win of the season.
