West Chester Men Top Gloucester County College, 9-0

WEST CHESTER, Pa.
- West Chester University's men's tennis squad intended to come out and send a message in its tune-up for the PSAC semifinals against Gloucester County College and did just that with a 9-0 victory on South Campus Wednesday.

West Chester (9-9) evened its overall record on the year before the Golden Rams head to Indiana (Pa.) for the 2013 PSAC Semifinals while Gloucester drops to 12-6 overall.

The Golden Rams took all three doubles points with an 8-5 win at first doubles for Chaz Irwin and Pat McGinley while second and third doubles were each 8-1 winners.

David Goldenberg picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at fourth singles, and then Pat McGinley wrapped up a 6-1, 6-2 win to clinch the match for the homestanding Golden Rams.

Dunn was a winner at first singles, 6-2, 6-3. Irwin, Lars Kristiansen and J.J. Cooke were the other winners on Wednesday for West Chester.

West Chester travels to Indiana (Pa.) on Friday for a 3 p.m. contest against Edinboro in the PSAC Semifinals this weekend. A win over Edinboro would catapult the Golden Rams into the PSAC Championship Game on Saturday at 11 a.m.
