LEWISBURG, Pa. – Melanie Ruff won the 200-meter dash and West Chester University witnessed a pair of athletes hit qualifying standards for next month’s PSAC Championships on the second and final day of competition at the 14th Annual Bucknell Open & Multi held inside Gerhard Fieldhouse on the campus of Bucknell University Saturday.
Ruff took first place in the 200m dash. She also added a PSAC-qualifying time in the 400m as well.
Kathleen Casey was a double-qualifier for the Golden Rams. The distance specialist hit her standards in the mile and the 3000m.
Meanwhile, Kayla Owens was runner-up in the shot put. Owens was the highlight in the field events for the Golden Rams this weekend.
West Chester will travel to East Stroudsburg University next weekend for the DeSchriver Invitational inside Koehler Fieldhouse.
