Women's Cross Country Opens With Ninth-Place Showing

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – West Chester University’s women’s cross country team opened its 2010 slate with a ninth-place finish at the Delaware Valley College Invitational on a pleasant Saturday morning.
The Golden Rams earned 253 points in the team standings out of 18 entrants. Elizabethtown won the overall team event.
Lindsey McGinley was the top Golden Rams finisher with a time of 26 minutes, 57.9 seconds. Mary Gawbill was 63rd in 27:37.81 and Rachel Wynn 69th in 27:59.06. Kim McManus finished 72nd in 28:12.68 while Rebecca Bivens was 75th in 28:17.85.
West Chester will be back in action again next weekend at Lock Haven University.
