DVC Invitational Results
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – West Chester University’s men’s cross country team opened its 2010 slate with a third-place finish at the Delaware Valley College Invitational on a pleasant Saturday morning.
The Golden Rams earned 88 points in the team standings out of 22 entrants. Messiah won the team title with 47 points. Felician was second with 67.
Ed Brittingham led West Chester runners to the finish line with a ninth-place showing in 27 minutes, 47.24 seconds. That time marked the fastest for a Golden Rams runner on this 8K course since 2004. A total of 208 runners competed on the men’s side. Matt Langdale was 12th in 27:56.41. Mike Malejko was 16th in 28:16.46 and freshman Dagmawi Teshome was 25th in 28:46.23.
Brian Leisenring was 26th in 28:48.59 and Sean Sebeck was 27th in 28:53.42.
West Chester will be back in action next weekend at the Lock Haven University Invitational.
