KUTZTOWN, Pa. - West Chester University won its volleyball opener with a 3-1 decision over C.W. Post at the Kutztown Tournament Friday evening.
West Chester swept sets three and four, after falling in the second set, to capture the victory by scores of 25-17, 10-25, 25-22, 25-23.
Helen Fitzpatrick (Springfield, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) registered 35 assists. Michelle Powers (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) led the Golden Rams with 13 kills. Lexi Kegerise (Trappe, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) notched 11 kills. Lisa Campbell (Wilmington, Del./Padua Academy) registered 15 digs, and Nora Jingeleski (Claymont, Del./Ursuline Academy) had two aces.
West Chester will be back in action at the Kutztown Tournament on Saturday with matches against LeMoyne College and College of St. Rose.
