WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Dana Dietrich took first place in the women’s triple jump to highlight the first day of the WCU Invitational Friday afternoon at John A. Farrell Stadium on a chilly Friday afternoon.
Dietrich took first place in the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet, 11 inches. Hughes finished second (34-5 1/4), Mackenzie Lauro finished third (33-09 ¼), Reaves fourth (33-01/2) and Aimee Sitch fifth (32-9 ¾).
Melinda Wentz is in first place after Day One of the women’s heptathlon. Wentz currently had 2,512 points after four events.
The WCU Invitational resumes Saturday at 10:30 a.m .
