WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Kyle Miller’s first-place finish in the pole vault highlighted West Chester University’s men’s track & field squad on the first day of the WCU Invitational at John A. Farrell Stadium on a chilly Friday afternoon.
Miller took first place in pole vault, clearing 14 feet, 1 ¼ inches. Zack Sharrah finished fourth clearing 12-1 ½.
Ed Brittingham finished third in the men’s 5000m crossing the line in 16 minutes, 15.28 seconds. Sean Sebeck finished behind Brittingam in the 5000m in fifth place with a time of 16:31.14.
Josh Bacon placed third in triple jump, leaping 42-8 ¼. Rob Johnson finished fourth in men’s hammer throw 128-4.
The WCU Invitational resumes Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
