Men's Golf Third After Day One At Shepherd Invite
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Mike Flatley is tied for fourth individually as West Chester University sits in third place at the Shepherd Invitiational held at Cress Creek Country Club on its par-71 course that plays to 6,400 yards.
Mercyhurst leads the team standings with a 319. Host Shepherd is second with a 322, followed by West Chester with a 325. Millersville is fourth with a 327 and West Virginia State is fifth with a 334.
Flatley carded a 77 to tie for fourth. West Virginia State's Rob Irwin is the individual leader with a 74. Derek Glaser shot an 81 and Doug Brooks signed for an 83. Griffith Basehore carded an 84 and Steve Minnick an 85.
The Shepherd Invitational concludes on Tuesday with round two as West Chester makes its final push for a spot in the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament in May.
