Stumpo Named PSAC East Baseball Player Of The Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior catcher Bob Stumpo was named the PSAC Eastern Division player of the week it was announced Tuesday afternoon by the conference. Stumpo is the first West Chester baseball player to be honored by the conference this spring.

Stumpo hit .500 with three home runs and 11 RBI in a four-game weekend series against UMass-Lowell, helping the Golden Rams to a 3-1 record against the River Hawks. The senior catcher registered four extra-base hits and a 1.333 slugging percentage in the series. He also threw out two of five base stealers.

Stumpo posted six RBI in the doubleheader on Sunday, including a home run in each game. He has now homered in each of the last three contests for the Golden Rams. On Saturday, Stumpo went 4-for-7 with five RBI in the doubleheader.

Stumpo is hitting .333 on the season and leads the team in home runs (4) and RBI (24).
