Day Three Results
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Three-time defending PSAC champion West Chester University won two more conference titles and have all but sewn up the team title at the 2010 PSAC Women’s Swimming Championships at Cumberland Valley High School.
West Chester has compiled 521 points through 13 events and leads second-place Clarion, who has amassed 308 points, by 213 points. Shippensburg is in third with 289 points.
The 800-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Kristen Montello, Megan Bauer, Erin Fischer and Danielle Ierley won in 7 minutes, 34.69 seconds. Jackie Borkowski was the only other individual winner, taking first place in the 200 free (1:50.68).
The Golden Rams displayed their depth with a second, third and fourth showing in the 100 butterfly. Fischer placed second, Leah Varvaro was third and Jillian Murphy fourth. Bauer also placed second behind Borkowski in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.70.
West Chester heads into Day Four of the conference championships Sunday with it fourth straight team title in sight.
