LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Chester sophomore forward Alex Lennon was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference player of the week it was announced Monday afternoon in the league’s weekly release.
Lennon is the first Golden Rams player honored by the conference in its weekly awards this winter.
Lennon scored a career-high 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting (73 percent) from the floor and also had seven rebounds, three assists and four blocks to help West Chester to a 74-69 upset win over No. 8 Holy Family in the Golden Rams’ only game of the week. Lennon also shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. She was the difference in the game at both ends of the floor as her presence in the lane not only allowed her to block a season-high four shots but also forced Holy Family into shooting just 31.9 percent from the field.
