TRENTON, N.J. – West Chester University’s men’s swimming & diving squad leads Johns Hopkins, 101-96, but trails host The College of New Jersey, 108-95, after the first day of competition in the tri-meet Friday evening.
Divers Adam Vance and Jon Brittain each took the top spot in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard competitions, respectively. Vance scored a 347.55 off the 1-meter board while Brittain scored a 355.85 off the 3-meter board to claim that event.
Kenny McCormick was the only first-place winner in the pool, taking the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4 mintues, 9.42 seconds. Mid-season transfer Brendan Magarity finished third in 4:17.87.
Brendan Fanslau was second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:44.43. Tommy Rhoads was runner up in the 500 free (4:48.55) as well.
