Sarah Norris Added To Softball Coaching Staff

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester University hired Sarah Norris as an assistant softball coach it was announced by head coach Diane Lokey recently. Norris brings a great deal of experience and talent to the Golden Rams, looking to make a positive impact on the West Chester squad.

“I feel very fortunate to have a former player of Sarah’s caliber and somebody with her knowledge of the game join our staff,” Lokey said. “Hopefully, she can bring some of that winning tradition to West Chester University.”

Norris, a 2009 graduate of Lock Haven University, led the Bald Eagles to the NCAA Division II national championship this past spring. She holds six career records at Lock Haven, including hits (232), runs (176), and home runs (55). She was also a four-time PSAC first team performer at Lock Haven as well.

“I am really excited in my new position,” Norris commented. “I look forward to the challenge of helping West Chester reach the PSAC Tournament and continue to advance to the NCAAs. We have a strong nucleus returning from last year, and I am confident that we can obtain all of our team goals this coming spring.”

In 2009, the West Chester native received numerous accolades en route to the NCAA title, including PSAC central division player of the year.
