Lock Haven Invitational Women's Results
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Kristina Koutsouros and Glenna Champion led West Chester University’s women’s cross country team to a second-place finish with seventh- and eighth-place finishes, respectively, in the Lock Haven Invitational Saturday Morning.
West Chester registered a team score of 76 points. Host Lock Haven took first place with 38 points. Indiana (Pa.) placed third with 95 points.
Koutsouros recorded a time of 23 minutes, 52.99 seconds, the sixth-fastest time by a WCU runner in the event in the last six years. Champion crossed the line just behind her teammate, registering a time of 23:53.92.
The Golden Rams had three other runners inside the top 25 overall. Jess Joseph (Salfordville, Pa.) placed 18th in 24:29.35. Lyndsey Ratasiewicz (Kennett Square, Pa.) placed 21st with a time 24:39.45.
Tina Furlong came in 22nd places, recording a time of 24:41.10.
Laura Carnes (25:01.20), Rachel Wynn (25:05.16), Mary Gawbill (25:34.65), and Alison Imboden (31:15.68) all placed in the top 90.
Carnes placed 32nd, Wynn 33rd, Gawbill 39th, and Imboden 87th.
West Chester returns to action next Saturday in the Long-Short Invitational at Dickinson College.
