Beth Wong Added To Senior All-Star Game Roster
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester University senior midfielder Beth Wong was added as an alternate to the NFHCA Division I Field Hockey senior all-star game in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at Kentner Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest University.
This year’s senior all-star event will feature four games on Saturday, including two tilts with the U.S. National Team. A brief postgame ceremony will be held to honor all of this year’s senior participants.
Wong helped lead West Chester to an 8-10 record overall and a 3-3 finish in the Atlantic 10 this fall. She posted three assists in 18 games for the Golden Rams while earning a spot on the A-10 all-academic squad for the third time in her career.
Throughout her all-star career at West Chester, Wong has played every position in the midfield as well as in the back. Though recruited as an offensive midfielder, circumstances always seemed to move Wong back to the defensive side of the field. Her versatility is what WCU head coach Kathy Krannebitter counted on over the last four years.
