Koutsouros Places 17th At Paul Short Run; WCU fourth

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Kristina Koutsouros finished 17th out of 246 individual participants at the 2009 Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University Friday afternoon, leading West Chester University’s women’s cross country team to a fourth-place showing out of 32 schools in the “white” run.
Koutsouros stopped the clock at 23 minutes, 24 seconds, posting the second-fastest time at WCU over the past five years. She continues to impress in her freshman season on the cross country squad. Lyndsey Ratasiewicz was right behind Koutsouros with a time of 23:36. She placed 24th. Jess Joseph was 27th for the Golden Rams’ harriers, clocking a time of 23:49. Joseph rounded out three WCU runners finishing in the Top 30.
Glenna Champion finished 63rd, crossing the line in 24:35 while Mary Gawbill was 68th with a time of 24:42. Laura Carnes was 83rd in 25:03.
