Women's Gymnastics Places Third At ECAC Championships

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Southern Connecticut State University captured the 2008 ECAC Division II Women’s Gymnastics Championship trophy with an overall score of 187.625 Saturday afternoon at West Chester University’s Sturzebecker Health Science Center.
University of Bridgeport placed second with a score of 187.200 and West Chester University third with a score of 174.075. Southern Conn. State’s Taylor Murray was named the ECAC Performer of the Meet.
West Chester was led by Alyssa Driscoll, who scored a composite 35.225 in the all-around. Stephanie Clark scored a 34.750 in the all-around for the Golden Rams as well.
Driscoll’s top event was the floor exercise where she posted a 9.050. Clark’s top event was the vault where she scored a 9.100. Melissa Filer was West Chester’s top vaulter with a score of 9.225.
